- ny realitet bag myten om Moses, oprindelig en egyptisk faraoprins der blev udstødt som tronarving - og som ved sin mystiske forsvinden fik sit eftermæle destrueret.

Det har undret historikere, at Moses ikke skulle have efterladt sig noget spor i Egypten. Forbedret dateringssikkerhed, nu ud fra astronomisk metode og ny information fra samtidens stjernekort (verdens ældste) samt forøget arkæologisk viden, bl.a. fund af hemmelige begravelsesanlæg, gør det muligt at fremlægge betydelige indicier, der kan konkretisere Moses' eksistens i det gamle Egypten.

Denne bog er den første, der i omfattende egyptisk sammenhæng kan påvise, hvordan synet på Moses' identitet må revideres. Bogen giver en hovednøgle til afdækning af en, ved Egyptens hof, storstilet politisk intrige med betragtelige historiske konsekvenser. De "tavse år" i Moses' liv har nu fået tale.

suverænt udnyttede Mellemøstens historiske spændingsfelt sine i

udholdende for­søg på at vinde faraotronen tilbage.

Til helhedsbilledet af Moses og "den glemte fejde" føjes ny forståelse af uafklarede forhold bag hans dramatiske rolle i Egyptens og hebræernes historie, som medførte forandringer i hele Mellemøsten.

Af sjældnere gamle kilder vil fremgå, at Moses ved et kup blev fjernet som kronprins fra at få Egyptens trone, og fra sit eksil dygtigt intrigerede politisk for at genvinde sin adkomst den. Sluttelig foranstaltede han afgørende oprør hjulpet af hebræiske indvandrerarbejdere - men forgæves. Først da søgte de andet land.

En realistisk baggrund påvises for overgangen over Det røde Hav, og for Moses' skjulte baser. Og for første gang i historiefremstilling inddrages i større helhed de politisk indgribende mysteriekulter og religiøst magiske forhold.

Den Hemmelige Religion

Moses var den første grundlægger af en religion, og hans lære præger
flere religioner i verden - gamle kilder afslører, at den også oprindelig
indeholdt 'mysterieguldet' fra Egypten og gudsnavnets hemmelighed.

Eksklusiv kultisk viden fra en mysterie- og kosmologisk overbygning i Moses' religion kan stadig spores i Bibelen, og med sammenhænge det ikke tidligere har været muligt at vise. En indviet elite fastholdt gennem tiderne denne hemmelige, delvis egyptiske lære, som Moses havde videregivet til israelitterne.

Her anvendtes Bibelen også som mysterietekst, hvortil udvikledes et særligt sprog "inde i" Bibelens tekster. Dette blev siden glemt - men kendte andre end de gamle præster bibelkoderne? I senere århundreder stod Bibelen øverst på kirkens sorte liste. Forinden var den skjulte lære genopdukket hos Egyptens gnostikere og i antikkens kulter, og siden i Hermeslæren der fødte renæssancen - og i nyere tid.

- kontroversielle tekster om Bibelens største profet, der med en fortid som højtuddannet egyptisk kronprins skabte en avanceret lovgivning - mens hans øvrige revolutionerende nyskabelser senere blev ham frakendt.

Denne bog bygger på gedigent dokumentarisk materiale fra et bemærkelsesværdigt stort spektrum af også sjældnere kilder - foruden bl.a. Talmud - for første gang set i en samlet helhed.

Moses har været inspiration til romaner og film - hvorimod kildernes data sammen med arkæologiske facts afslører hans virkelige historie som den mest fascinerende af alle.
